Research: Lighting and Cinematographic Techniques in Music Videos
We viewed a You-Tube video of how to use lighting effectively in music videos. The video explained how positioning of lighting can add dramatic effect and depth to the shots. We liked the effect of using lighting on the contrast of the video and really made the artist stand out. Since the demonstrator was using two lights, we could easily re-create this with the spotlights which we will be using. We thought we could also use the lighting available in the dark room.
